“Rucell” Snyder Sherrill, age 83 last living child of the late Forney C. and Ila Waters Snyder, formerly of Rutherford County and Longwood, Florida died Monday, July 06, 2015 at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach, Florida. She was born on September 07, 1931 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, growing up as the third of five children. After graduating from RS Central High in 1949 she attended Kings Business College graduating with a degree in business. Her love for cooking and sharing that gift was a joy to all who knew her. Her strong faith and unconditional love are how she will be remembered. In addition to her parents; former spouse Ralph Sherrill, son Pete Sherrill, sisters Lucille Snyder Shehan, Phyllis Snyder Bosworth, brothers Jack Waters Snyder and Stanley Gene Snyder preceded her in death.Survivors include her son, Steve Sherrill of Vero Beach, Florida, three grandsons Adam, Ben, and Chris (Nicole) Sherrill of Indiana, nieces Sharon Shehan Parton (Stan) of Lilburn, Georgia, Barbara Shehan Sprouse of Forest City, North Carolina, Debbie Shehan Sipe (Steve) of Lincolnton, North Carolina and nephew William Brett Bosworth of Massachusetts.A graveside memorial service to honor the life of Rucell will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 2015, 10:00 am at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. Officiating will be Stan Parton and Steve Sipe.
