Obituary for Rita Viola Justice

Rita Viola  Justice
Rev. Rita Viola Justice, age 65, of Rutherfordton, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 while being cared for by Hospice. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Cordie Louise Frady Justice. Rita was a chaplain for McDowell Hospital, and had formerly worked for Rutherford County DSS and also as a driver’s license examiner. She was a member of Spencer Baptist Church and an usher for the Foundation Performing Arts Center.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Carolyn J. Lammons and husband, Roger “Jim” of Waverly Hall, GA; two nieces, Melinda Masters and husband Kevin, Melissa Harris and husband Jake; nephew Charles Mark Jurgensen; uncle Worth Frady and wife Elfreta of Fairview, NC; many cousins and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents George and Mamie Frady.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell and Rev. Dean Baughn officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
