Obituary for Claude Junior Arrowood

Claude Junior  Arrowood
Claude Junior Arrowood, 82, of Rutherfordton, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hospice House. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Claude and Eula Mae Haynes Arrowood, and was a member of Second Baptist Church. An avid sportsman, Claude moved to Tallahassee, FL in April of 1981 as the head dog trainer and guide for hunting parties at Horseshoe Plantation. He trained dogs and ran field trials. He and his wife returned to Rutherfordton in 1999.

Claude is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Ward Arrowood of the home; sons Dennis Arrowood and wife Sandra of Rutherfordton and Donnie Arrowood and wife Cindy of Spindale; granddaughters Ashley Anthony of Charlotte and Jennifer Crosby and husband Jason of Oklahoma City, OK; grandson Brian Thompson and wife Heather of Rutherfordton; great grandchildren, Madelyn Anthony of Charlotte, Caitlyn Crosby and Landon Crosby of Oklahoma City, OK, Bryson Thompson and Allie Thompson of Rutherfordton.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Rutherfordton City cemetery with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the Arrowood home. Mr. Arrowood will lie in state Saturday at Crowe’s Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
