Alma Jean Webster Clark, 87 of Rutherfordton died Sunday November 16, 2014 at her home. Born April 2, 1927 in Avondale, NC she was the daughter of the late Howard Pritchard Webster and Virginia Davidson Webster, after moving to Rutherfordton she and her parents and brother Igeary became members of Southern Baptist Church of Ruth. Alma Jean graduated from RS Central in 1944 and attended Blanton Business College in Asheville. She moved to Kingsport, TN and then to Richmond, VA where she married Linden her high school sweetheart who was in the Navy. He was stationed in New York and they were there for two years; after they returned to Rutherfordton, NC she worked in the Rutherford Hospital clinic for several years. Alma Jean was a secretary for the N.C. Agriculture Extension Service and a member of the Cooperative Extension Secretaries Association serving as president.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Keith Linden Clark and wife Lori of Rutherfordton, NC, sister Shirley Wells of Rutherfordton, NC, sister in law Dorothy Webster of Robbinsville, NC as well as several nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Linden Clark.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday November 20, 2014 at Southern Baptist Church with Rev. John Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southern Baptist Church or Hospice of Rutherford County.
