Mary Edith  Davis (Amos)
Mary Edith Davis, 77, of Spindale, died Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Etta Boone Amos. She was retired from National Textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Bridget Owens (Frank), Kelly Garcia; two sons Tommy Davis (Gena) and Steve Davis; nine grandchildren, Cherry Mask (Kenny), Vicki Haynes (David), Brandon Davis (Deanna), Matthew Davis (Julia), Ashley Noffke (Chris), Will Davis, Seth Davis, Corey Date (Breyana) Ryan Date (Micha); thirteen great grandchildren, Kyle Mask (Kristen), Payton Owens, Dakota Eddins, Shelby Haynes Funderburke (Josh), Blace Date, Jayden Scott-Thomas, Jayda Davis, Luke Davis, Kaleb Davis, Eli Noffke, Matison Davis, Makenzie Davis, Alexis Burch; two great great grandsons Stephen Mask and Nathan Fowler; sister, Vernell Camp (Lee); aunt Maefrey West, sisters in law, Judy Amos and Ruth Davis, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Davis, brothers Luther Amos, Vernon Amos, Lester Amos, Donald Amos, Jim Amos, Ronnie Amos, Bobby Amos, and sister Ethel Amos.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Fellowship Holiness with Rev. Leon Brown and Rev. Chad Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the Davis family.
