Adrian Prentice Logan, age 30, of 198 W. Court St., Rutherfordton, NC, was born June 14, 1984 and departed this life on Monday, September 8, 2014.
Adrian graduated from R-S Central High School, Rutherfordton, NC in the year 2002 and was very active in the JROTC Squad & Drill team. He then served 3 years in the U.S. Navy at NAS Lemoore, CA, as an U.S. Navy Aviation Machinist Mate/ Plane Captain from Aug. 2005 – Aug. 2008. His military experiences lead him to fields of employment at Verizon Wireless, Forest City Honda, and Cowan’s Tire & Battery in Rutherfordton, NC.
He enjoyed nature hikes, the study of herpetology, fishing, and electronic gaming, but most of all, loved to make people laugh.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother, Barbara Logan Whiteside of Rutherfordton, NC; father, Kevin Huff of Charleston, SC, and son, Jaden Culver of Spokane, WA., along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 1183 Bills Creek Rd., Lake Lure, NC, on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends & family in Rutherfordton following the service at 198 W. Court St., Rutherfordton.
