Obituary for William Glenn Abrams

William Glenn  Abrams
William Glenn Abrams, 91, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Forest City Health and Rehab Center. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Fred and Sallie Nash Abrams. Glenn was a US Army veteran having served in WWII. He was a retired sales associate from Sears and a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Evelyn Sims Abrams of Rutherfordton; son, Rev. Bill Abrams Jr.and wife Diane of Dallas, NC; daughter, Barbara Abrams Buehring of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Amy Gamm of Tampa, FL and Angie Abrams of Pittsboro, NC; great grandchildren Amanda V. Gamm of Tampa, FL and Ashley N. Gamm of Tampa, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. Robert Abrams and two sisters, Floy Bryant and Jessie Roddy.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. John Godfrey and Rev. Brent Frady The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in Piedmont Baptist Church cemetery.
