Harold Edmond ""Butch""  Mayse
Harold E. Mayse, 83, of 178 Garden Brook Dr. Forest City, died Wednesday, Jul 30, 2014 at Hospice House. Harold was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Adaville Baptist Church, VFW member and US army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Reeves Brothers as warehouse manager.
Preceding him in death are his wife Louise Campbell Mayse, parents Arthur and Dovie Higgins, daughter Patsy Mayse, sister Betty Pope and brother Earl Higgins.
Left to cherish his memories is his daughter, Lois Radford and husband Ronnie of Rutherfordton; son Billy Mayse and wife Chris of Forest City; grandchildren Mitch Radford, Andrew Radford, Lucas Mayse, Lindsay Roddy and husband Mark, Jared Mayse and wife Amy; great grandchildren Hayden and Wyatt Mayse and Alexa Radford; sister Nancy Radford; brothers Charlie and wife Ola Higgins, Jackie and wife Judy Higgins of Forest City, Roy and wife Elizabeth Higgins and Wayne and wife Pat Higgins of Rutherfordton, Bobby and wife Gaye Higgins of Spindale.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Adaville Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Whitlow and Rev. Gary Curtis officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, August 1, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Holly Springs Senior Center or to Hospice of Rutherford County.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to Brent Allen and the staff of Holly Springs Senior Center for the love and care given to our loved one during his time there.
